Featured: Camino magic ...

Two years ago I walked part of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain with a group of friends and a group of strangers who quickly became friends. It was not a trip, it was a transformation. The Camino is an ancient pilgrimage with various routes across Europe, all leading to the Church of St. […]

We're All Grown Up ...

I recently delivered a message at my church about navigating the sometimes choppy waters of the relationship between parents and their adult children - Friends and Family: We're All Grown Up It came out of my ignorance, not my knowledge. It flowed from my failure, not my success. It stemmed from my pain, not my progress. […]

A mental breath of fresh air.

There is sometimes a perception that because I have been a pastor for the past 20 years and have been counseling at least as long, that I have my whole life together.

But honestly, that’s not always the case.

I struggle with many of the same things that you do, and that’s one of the reasons I write Alice at Dawn. So that we can tackle those questions together.
