Distraction is our greatest enemy.
When followers of Jesus are worried, hurried and distracted,
we become neutralized,
wandering through life,
failing to see the people we are called to love,
too worried about the future to engage the present,
too busy to stop and see the "burning bush" God places in front of us,
too hurried to notice God's shining presence all around,
too distracted to hear his voice,
and too tired to do what he says even if we did hear it.
We are worried, hurried and distracted ...
and we wonder why God feels so absent.
Could today be the day you:
Slow down enough to see?
Give your worries to God so he can carry them?
Fight off distractions so God has a fighting chance to get your attention?
