I love the newsletter The Marginalian by Maria Popova. It's brilliant and so well curated it is almost as if you read an entire life-altering book (or two!) when you immerse yourself in her musings.
She wrote this recently and I cannot stop thinking about it:
"You are the only custodian of your own integrity …"
Custodian - "a person who looks after or is responsible for something."
Integrity - "the state of being whole, undivided."
I am the only one responsible for my own wholeness.
No one else is.
No one else can make me whole.
No one else can make me un-whole.
I am the only one responsible for that.
As are you - You are the only one responsible for your own wholeness.
This is both thrilling and terrifying to me.
What about you?
